Terms and Conditions of Use

Lead Generation Function: Creditu operates solely as an online lead-generation facilitator for personal loans on behalf of its partner financial institution, Hero Fincorp Limited ("Lender"). Creditu is neither a bank, a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC), nor a registered Digital Lending Application (DLA) acting as a direct loan originator.
No Loan Sanctioning or Processing: Creditu plays no role whatsoever in the underwriting, credit assessment, approval, sanctioning, rejection, disbursement, servicing, or collection of any personal loan requested by the user.
Final Authority: All decisions regarding loan eligibility, loan quantum, interest rates, processing fees, tenure, and final loan sanction rest exclusively with Hero Fincorp Limited at its sole discretion.

User Authentication: Creditu facilitates mobile number verification via a One-Time Password (OTP) sent to the mobile number provided by the user.
Pre-Eligibility Checks: Creditu performs basic preliminary checks on the user’s Permanent Account Number (PAN) and credit bureau score to filter eligible leads.
Lead Handoff: Eligible leads, along with basic user details, are securely transferred to Hero Fincorp Limited for further loan processing, underwriting, and execution of loan documentation.

By submitting your details on Creditu, you declare and warrant that:

You are an Indian citizen of at least 18 years of age.
All information provided by you (including your name, mobile number, and PAN) is accurate, current, and complete.
The mobile number provided is registered in your name or authorized for your use.
You are voluntarily seeking information and lead placement for personal loan products from Hero Fincorp Limited.

No Financial Advice: The information presented on Creditu's webpage does not constitute financial, legal, or professional advice.
Indemnification: Creditu shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, rejection, processing delay, or dispute arising out of or in connection with the user’s interaction, agreement, or transaction with Hero Fincorp Limited.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
Any disputes or claims arising out of the use of this webpage shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

Data Collected & Retained by Creditu: Creditu strictly collects and retains only two data points:
- Full Name
- Mobile Number
Purposes of Retention: To maintain a lead generation log, verify OTP authentication, track customer consent records, and fulfill legal compliance mandates.
Transient Data Processing: Any PAN details, credit score inquiries, or pre-screening data processed during the session are used exclusively for real-time lead qualification and pass-through to Hero Fincorp Limited. Creditu does not store, archive, or retain PAN numbers, credit score reports, or financial history in its databases post-transmission.
Temporary Retention: To complete your application, your PAN, date of birth, gender, occupation, monthly income and credit score are held securely for a maximum of 24 hours, after which they are permanently and automatically deleted.
Name Verification: The name you enter is matched against the name on the credit bureau's records for your PAN, to confirm that the PAN belongs to you.
Duplicate Application Check: To prevent duplicate applications, Creditu retains a one-way encrypted reference derived from your PAN for 30 days. The PAN itself is not stored, and the reference cannot be used to recover it. It is automatically deleted after 30 days.
Re-application Period: Once an eligibility result has been given, a new application from the same mobile number, or with the same PAN from a different mobile number, can be made only after 30 days.

By agreeing to these terms, you explicitly authorize Creditu to share your name, verified mobile number, and preliminary screening parameters with Hero Fincorp Limited for the sole purpose of contacting you regarding personal loan offers and processing your loan application.
Creditu does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third-party telemarketers or unauthorized entities.

Creditu complies with the applicable provisions of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.
Creditu implements administrative, technical, and physical security measures to safeguard user data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

You explicitly authorize Creditu to send One-Time Passwords (OTPs) via SMS, WhatsApp, or automated voice calls to your registered mobile number for identity verification purposes.

You grant permission to Creditu and/or Hero Fincorp Limited to initiate basic soft checks on your credit score and pull basic identity parameters associated with your PAN to assess initial loan eligibility prior to transferring your lead.

Express Communication Consent: By checking the consent box and requesting an OTP, you explicitly provide consent under the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations (TCCCPR) issued by TRAI.
You agree to receive transactional, promotional, and informational communications (including SMS, phone calls, WhatsApp messages, and emails) from Creditu and its partner Hero Fincorp Limited, notwithstanding any registration of your mobile number on the National Do Not Disturb (DND) Registry or NCPR.
